I've been sitting here moaning about the emptiness of my food cupboards. No bread, no milk, no pasta, no chocolate. But look! I have made risotto! From paper and glue! And rice and onion and butter and stock!
Its basic but its filling.
And yes, it does taste a bit like glue.

Pro Strangely, yes. I went and collected the wallpaper. I'm so excited. Now... how to hang the stuff. I can see I'm in need of something sticky and gluey.

I added spinach to my gluey risotto. The French don't use that to stick glitter to paper.
It is very exciting when you manage to make something edible out of the stuff in your cupboard that you always assumed just lived there before. Like making your own pasta sauce. Even if it just tastes like a big vat of tomatoes. You made it yourself!

Now here's the challenge. After making risotto I have the following left in my cupboard:
- half eaten pack of dried prunes
- packet of sauce to go with Swedish meatballs (needs milk though)
- a tin of onion soup I know tastes terrible 'cos I tried eating the other tin
- black eyed beans (need soaking for 24 hours)
- sushi rice
- fifth of a bag of flour
- a bottle of rose water (go figure)
- powdered sugar
Yum.
Ugh. Easily solved, with a big enough blender

Pro Home-made from an old scoring pad and a couple of damp cloths wrapped round the base of the tap to stop it leaking. Moisture, you got to have just a bit of it in a cracker like that.
I think Nigella may have some stiff competition for the title of Domestic Goddess. She's never made a meal out of household products
