I started baking a chocolate cake because Eurovision was doing my head in.
Somehow the time ran away with me. I got myself into a pickle with mixing bowls, clean kitchen surfaces and folding-in. Consequently it is now 2.45am and I've just put the cake back in for another ten minutes.
Seems a little sticky on the inside still.
Okay, it's back out of the oven and looks like this.
Of course, you can't tell the scale of such a fine example of a cake. Nor can you get a heady whiff of its chocolatey goodness. Take it from me: it's a whopper and it's champion.
